Having said that, I did not bid the asking price and about the same time that I bid on the company, so did another suitor. Eric was very fair in terms of how this was handled: he let both me and the other suitor know that competing bids were on the table and offered both of us the opportunity to alter our bid. I think he handled the situation with a high degree of integrity and, while I didn't end up buying the company, I do think the situation was handled very fairly.
