One important part of the negotiation process is to be able to fully understand how complex deal structures impact the present value of the transaction. Codiligent’s proprietary analysis system allows for input of different deal components and then can instantly determine the internal rate of return and net present value after taking into consideration the riskiness of a particular business through use of an appropriate discount rate. This helps clients immediately understand whether a deal structure is favorable to their interests, and if not how the deal can be modified to make the acquisition more attractive.
