Many businesses, in an effort to ensure that they are offering products and services that match their competitors, become increasingly indistinguishable commodities. For example, ask a dozen commercial bankers how they are differentiated from others and you'll typically hear "unlike other banks we are interested in building relationships with our clients", but often they have trouble articulating concrete ways in which they do so. Clients are then left primarily considering personality match and price.
In contrast, Codiligent is differentiated in very concrete ways from other business brokers and small investment banks. Some people are surprised to learn that we are not members of any of the business broker industry associations locally in Portland Oregon, Seattle Washington, or nationally. We have nothing against such organizations, but we just do things differently enough than other business brokers that we don't see a benefit in participating.
