Active Business Broker Buyer Representation

Are you serious about acquiring a business?  Codiligent's Active Buyer Representation is like having an outsourced Mergers and Acquisitions department.  If you are a buyer who engages Codiligent business brokers to provide active representation, our fiduciary responsibility is to you, not the seller.  Whether you are an individual conducting a search of advertised businesses in a single city, or you run a large company that is looking for a specific type of strategic acquisition that requires a national search of advertised and non-advertised businesses, Codiligent business brokers can provide that service so that you can devote your time to the things you do best, and outsource your business acquisition activities.   From our locations in Bellevue, Washington and Portland, Oregon we conduct national searches for businesses, and can provide remote business broker services.

Business buyers who seek this type of representation should be prepared to pay a reasonable monthly retainer as part of Codiligent's compensation.

Due Diligence

Codiligent isn't just a match-making service between buyers and sellers.  After an acquirer has identified a business and entered into a Letter of Intent to purchase the business, there will be a Due Diligence period to verify information represented by the seller. Codiligent business brokers assists buyer clients with this process by managing the due diligence process, reviewing general due diligence questions, helping acquirers organize and make sense of data collected, and helping select and manage
appropriate additional advisors that may be needed - for example a CPA who can help verify the accuracy of financial records.
